The Little Waxing Studio
Waxing will leave the skin smooth and hairless for a longer period of time and will eventually lessen the amount of hair. The hair grows in finer and softer, unlike shaving.
*DOES WAXING HURT?
Many clients say the anticipation is worse than the actual waxing service but it will depend on your pain tolerance. The first visit is usually the most uncomfortable but it gets easier with each visit. Some choose to take a pain reliever 30 minutes prior to the appointment. Though it is definitely not necessary.
It is best to avoid the week before your period if you find you are more sensitive at that time.
*HOW LONG DOES THE HAIR HAVE TO BE?
Hair length should be 1/4 of an inch long or approximately 3 weeks in length for the first visit and 4 weeks in length for subsequent visits in order to be hair free for a longer period of time. It is more comfortable for you this way and helps me do the most efficient work. It is recommended not to shave between services. With regular visits your hair will become visibly finer and more sparse.
*WILL I GET INGROWN HAIR?
If you are prone to ingrown hair with shaving you may also get ingrown hair with waxing. However, over time and with continued waxing the ingrown hair diminishes. To help prevent ingrowns I recommend at home care.
*WHAT EXACTLY IS A BRAZILIAN WAX?
A brazilian removes the pubic hair from front to back. Some prefer to leave a landing strip and some want it all removed. Your choice.
*HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A BRAZILIAN?
Make sure that you are exfoliating the skin to remove the dead surface skin and lift the hair. Showering before your visit is advised, but if that is not possible personal wipes will be available to freshen up.
*DO I HAVE TO BE NAKED?
Only from the waist down. No room for modesty now!
*WHAT IF I HAVE MY PERIOD?
No need to reschedule. Just let me know before your appointment and we can discuss how to work around that.
*WHAT TYPE OF WAX DO YOU USE?
Only the finest wax is used in The Little Waxing Studio. For years I have researched different types of wax to find the most gentle yet most effective. A hard wax is used for the more delicate areas and a soft delicate wax is used for legs, arms, chest and back.
*Those currently using Accutane, Retin-A, Differen, or such anti-acne medications cannot be waxed. We don't want to chance removing skin along with the hair.
*You must be at least 18 years of age or have your parents' consent to receive any service.
